Sevilla Have Offered Sergio Ramos A Five-Year Deal For Emotional Return

Sergio Ramos has been offered a five-year deal by his former club Sevilla, reports say.

But late last night, Spanish outlet El Primero Palo published a story claiming the 35-year-old is courting strong interest from his previous employers.

It’s said that Sevilla’s proposal is for a total of five years, including the possibility of Ramos remaining at the club in a different capacity once he retires.

He would have to take a fairly sizeable wage cut, with Sevilla offering him a salary of €7 million per year.

Ramos came through the youth ranks at Sevilla before going on to turn out for the first-team for two seasons.

In 2005, he made a massive €27 million move to Real in what was a record deal for a Spanish player at the time.

He’s gone on to become one of the most successful defenders in football history, making 671 appearances for Real in 16 seasons and lifting 22 honours – including five La liga titles and four Champions Leagues.

Although there hasn’t been an agreement between Real and Ramos, AS believe the long-time Spain international will extend his stay in the capital.
